Y2K Claims ServicesThe Year 2000 is a unique and unprecedented event. For many businesses, it will be the first disaster to arrive on schedule. Year 2000 losses can be linked to a date or time function within an electronic device. If a claim is made that includes equipment which has time or date function, it is very possible that the loss is Year 2000 related, even if that is not how the claim is presented. If a failure of a system to process date or time correctly is not a covered loss, then claims may be submitted to look like a different cause of loss when in fact date or time is the root cause.
